We want to express with this letter our gratitude for the militant work on your part that made it possible for the Irish Writers Union to have an act of solidarity and financial aid for Sergio Andres Pastor González, and his family. Comrade Sergio, popularly known as 19, is a leader of the First Line of Colombia who is a political prisoner for defending the rights and freedoms of the people of Colombia. Thanks to the militant action of the leadership of Independent Left, Sergio and his family now find the possibility of having a livelihood in the difficult and serious situation in which they find themselves in the midst of the enormous political and social battle that means the struggle for the Freedom of the young people of the Front Line arrested today under the government of Petro, taking into account that prison prevents Sergio from offering a livelihood to his family.

The militant solidarity action that you have carried out demonstrates the solidarity character, and sensitivity to the struggle for democratic freedoms and civil rights on the part of the leadership of Independent Left and its militants, a true example in the midst of the crisis that the world left is going through, all of which reaffirms the will of La Marx International to continue establishing fraternal relations. and share initiatives with you as an organization.
